Brush Control & Underbrush Removal in the Upstate

Briars, privet, saplings, and years of overgrowth cleared across Greenville, Travelers Rest, Greer, Taylors, Easley, and the surrounding Upstate — without burning or hauling.

Think Embark — for all your tree, debris & dirt needs.

Upstate land grows over fast. A lot that was clear a few seasons ago fills in with Chinese privet, briars, autumn olive, and a thicket of saplings until you can’t walk it, let alone use it. Embark clears that undergrowth with a forestry mulcher — the brush is ground into mulch right where it stands, so there’s no burn pile, no permit, and no piles to haul off. It’s the lighter cousin of full forestry mulching, scaled to overgrowth rather than standing timber.

Briars, Privet & Invasives

Chinese privet, autumn olive, blackberry briars, and poison ivy taken down in place — without spreading seed the way cutting and piling does.

Fence Lines & Property Lines

Grown-over fence rows, trails, and boundaries cut back so you can see your lines, maintain your fence, and reclaim the edges of your land.

Selective Understory Clearing

The undergrowth cleared out while the mature hardwoods and shade trees you want are left standing — an open, park-like result.

How It Works

Brush Gone in a Single Pass

A skid-steer-mounted mulcher does the work of a crew with chainsaws, a chipper, and a burn pile — in a fraction of the time. It grinds standing brush and small trees down to a mulch layer in one pass, leaving the ground covered rather than scraped bare. That mulch feeds the soil, holds moisture, and slows the next round of regrowth.

Because nothing is burned, there’s no smoke across a neighbor’s property and no burn permit to file. Because nothing is hauled, there are no piles sitting on your land for weeks and no dump fees on the invoice. For heavier jobs, brush control flows naturally into full land clearing and forestry services; for cleanup, our debris & hauling crew can carry off whatever you’d rather not keep.

FAQ

Brush Control Questions

What is the difference between brush control and forestry mulching?
They use the same machine. Brush control is the lighter job — clearing briars, privet, saplings, and undergrowth while leaving the larger trees. Full forestry mulching takes down heavier standing growth too. We scale the work to what your property needs.
Will the brush grow back after you clear it?
Mulching grinds growth to the ground and leaves a mulch layer that slows regrowth, but the roots of aggressive species will push back over a season or two. Most owners have us back for a maintenance pass once a year, or we can grub out the worst root systems where it matters.
Do you remove poison ivy, privet, and other invasives?
Yes. Chinese privet, autumn olive, briars, and poison ivy are some of the most common overgrowth we clear in the Upstate. The mulcher takes them down in place without spreading seed the way cutting and piling can.
Can you clear the underbrush but keep my mature trees?
That’s exactly what selective brush control is for. We mulch out the understory and leave the hardwoods and shade trees you want to keep, which opens the property up while keeping the canopy.
Do you haul the brush off or burn it?
Neither, in most cases. The brush is ground into mulch right where it stands, so there’s no burn pile and no hauling. If you’d rather have material removed, our debris & hauling crew can carry it off.
